Steps to put your site online:

Step-1:  Preparation:

Begin to develop a concept for your website.

• Begin to browse the Internet to see what kinds of styles and layouts you prefer
• Provide a purpose and your goals for the site.

Organize your content.

• Collect images and logos and save these as .jpg if possible.
• If you have hardcopy images you need scanned, please get those ready to be sent or given to your Excalibur Computer Solutions Web Design Webmaster.
• Please have all text files in a Microsoft Word document (.doc) to be sent in email or given to our Webmaster (We can help with wording at extra cost).
• If you wish to transfer data from an old hosting provider, please have the hoster, username and password available. This will allow us to transfer your site to the StartLogic web servers very quickly.

Step-2 Domain Name Registration: 

You need to have a domain name for your web site.  You can choose any name which is available and suitable for your business. Examples:  www.mycompany.com, www.mycompany.net or www.myorganization.org. If needed, we are able to help you with this decision.

Step-3 Web Site Hosting: 

You need to put your pages on a web server which allows other people to access your site every time. We use the webs number one rated hoster, StartLogic. StartLogic gives you an amazing 15 gigabytes worth of space to work with, and many other fabulous features.
